The First and Best MMSEA Reporting Solution since 2009

Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) has suspended the IRS-SSA-CMS Data Match employer reporting

Section 6202 of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1989 required the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Social Security Administration (SSA), and CMS to share information that each agency had about whether Medicare beneficiaries or their spouses were working.  The purpose of the Data Match was to identify situations where another payer may have been primary to Medicare.

Although the IRS-SSA-CMS Data Match process has ended, Section 111 of the Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act of 2007 (1862(b)(5) of the Social Security Act ) requires the same information from Responsible Reporting Entities (Employers through their Group Health Plans, Self-Insured Plans and their Third Party Administrators).  Reporting Entities must provide CMS with information regarding health coverage of their employees enrolled in Medicare and spouses of enrolled individuals.

Medicare Consul Services (MCS) provides MMSEA Section 111 software and services for Group Healthcare and Drug Coverage Reporting.  Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or require a solution to meet your Reporting Entity requirements.
